Dreams Are Made of This

This is a 5x7 inch painting (acrylic on paper) is of a Middle Eastern woman, somewhere in a camp, forgotten by the world. She's thinking of the things we all think of when times are tough, nostalgia, memories, thoughts of when life was easier.

That little duck represents everything that's good and innocent to me. Perhaps even more so because I never had one when I was a child. I recently went out, as an adult, and bought myself one. And now that symbol of innocence is starting to appear in my paintings from time to time.

Sometimes my thoughts are darker than I'd want them to be, and I'd like the little duck to appear more often. But you can't force these things and still be true to your vision.

This painting is available to purchase through my DailyPaintWorks site.
