This is an acrylic painting 17.5x12.5cm / 7x5 inch.
I painted her late at night, the time when I start most of these small paintings. Although a fantasy figure, she comes with a real strength of character. I struggled to capture her for a long time, and had to restart the work more than once. Finally I finished her the following day, having taken her into natural light, feeling almost beaten.
Like most strong women, she is a force to be reckoned with, and that's why I've called her "Big Eyes". I'm not necessarily referring to her eyes when I say that.
